MVG / VMVG

I received my verification gage, what now?

Install the MVG Data Runner software form the CD that came with your gage. In the help file you will find the steps to follow to create a program to run on your machine. Sample programs and videos are included on your CD. After creating the program you can run the setup wizard to start tracking your machine.

Where do I get the nominal's for the gage?

If you purchased your gage certified, then the data will be located on the certification sheet. If you are running the gage uncertified then the data will be taken from the first run of the gage on your machine.

Do I have to run the gage in the same spot on the machine?

No, runs on the gage should fall within your defined specification running anywhere in the machine measuring volume.

Can I use backlight with the VMVG’s?

Yes, the VMVG.s are designed to allow light through four places on the sphere diameters.

What size gage should I purchase?

Ideally the gage should be the approximately the same size as the parts you run.

Shuttles

I received my model SS100 Shuttle in two pieces, how do I assemble the shuttle ?

Consult page two of your Owner's Manual. If you cannot locate your owners manual, it can be downloaded from the support section of the H&K web site.

What is the capacity of the SS100 Shuttle ?

The model SS100 Shuttle is designed to handle up to 500 pounds or 227 kilograms. Before placing this much weight on the shuttle be sure that you installed the shuttle properly per the installation instructions in the Model SS100

What is the profile of the SS100 Shuttle ?

The profile of the model SS100 Shuttle is 1.75 inches or 44 millimeters. Note

that this does not include the handle height.

What should I lubricate bearings on my SS100 Shuttle with ?

The model SS100 Shuttle linear bearings do not require lubrication.

What should I use to lubricate the handle assembly on my SS100 Shuttle with ?

The model SS100 Shuttle handle assembly is equipped with an oil impregnated bushing and does not require lubrication.

The hole pattern on my shuttle does not line up to the mounting surface on my CMM ?

The model SS100 Shuttle was designed to work with a majority of the hole patterns used my major Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) manufacturers. If your particular pattern does not line up, you can modify the shuttle base plate to accommodate your pattern as long as it does not interfere with the 3 cone locators or bearings.
